Morgan Stanley is now an official founding partner of Unrivaled—the new, groundbreaking professional women’s 3v3 basketball league, founded by two of the sport’s biggest stars, Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. The league, which tipped off earlier this month, delivers an entertaining and competitive form of the game, featuring 36 of the top women's basketball players, across six teams, in a compressed full-court style of play.
This partnership deepens Morgan Stanley’s commitment to championing women in sports at a time when total revenue for women’s elite sports is projected to surpass $1 billion—proving that commercial support and visibility have never been more crucial.1
Morgan Stanley is proud to support Unrivaled’s innovative approach, which prioritizes the financial success of its players. All Unrivaled athletes receive equity ownership – a unique and invaluable opportunity for financial freedom. The league also features historic contract opportunities, offering the highest average salary in women's professional sports league history.
This transition of value to the athletes has been a major draw for players who want to be a part of this historic moment. “Our new partnership with Unrivaled is an opportunity for us to deepen our commitment to breaking down barriers in women’s sports and beyond,” said Alice Milligan, Chief Marketing Officer at Morgan Stanley. “Through our global presence and reach, we are proud to help foster awareness and excitement to this new league, and in doing so inspire the next generation both on and off the court.”
As part of this strategic partnership, Morgan Stanley and Unrivaled will develop community outreach initiatives, and financial empowerment opportunities for players.
“Unrivaled is proud to partner with Morgan Stanley to uplift women’s sports and help usher in a new era of athlete empowerment,” said Unrivaled Commissioner Micky Lawler. “Morgan Stanley has a long tradition of championing women’s athletics and building towards a more inclusive and egalitarian future that reflects the incredible talents of women, both in sports and beyond.”
