Morgan Stanley is dedicated to helping young people learn about technology and giving back to our local nonprofits. Our local tech team has in-depth knowledge across software development and engineering, data science and analytics, cloud computing and infrastructure, cybersecurity, product and project management, and artificial intelligence/robotics. Utilizing their deep knowledge, employees help develop local STEM talent at all ages and have the rewarding experience of working with elementary through college students to help them advance their skills.
 

Our volunteers mentor students as they design, build and code robots in YMCA events supported by our philanthropy committee, while our Girl Scout programming provides exposure through STEM education on topics including basic science, outer space and financial literacy.
 

Another marquee initiative is Morgan Stanley’s Code to Give annual hackathon event in Alpharetta. In these competitions, teams of college students, mentored by our employees, develop applications that help regional nonprofits solve real-world challenges through technology. Nonprofits supported by our Code to Give hackathons include the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Tech Alpharetta Women’s Forum.

Through our Empower Alpharetta conference, women in business come together to encourage learning, further career advancement and build meaningful connections. At this year’s summit, sponsored by our women’s networks, female executives provided inspiration and advice, and shared their career experiences. Discussions centered on leadership, confidence, workplace culture and how to find support in your career.
 

Our annual Business Unit Expo helps colleagues connect while learning about the firm and how we deliver value to clients, driving career success and opening opportunities for mobility. Across the firm, we believe that deepening knowledge is a valuable tool for creating a rewarding career.
