Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer

Eric F. Grossman is Executive Vice President and Morgan Stanley’s Chief Legal Officer, with responsibility for Legal, Non-Financial Risk, Regulatory Relations and Government Relations. He is also the firm’s Chief Administrative Officer, with responsibility for External Affairs and Corporate Services. He is a member of the firm’s Operating and Management Committees.

 

Prior to his current roles, Mr. Grossman served as Global Head of Legal, General Counsel of Global Wealth Management and Global Head of Litigation. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Grossman was a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Mr. Grossman has a BA from Hamilton College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.  

 

Mr. Grossman is an Alumni Trustee at Hamilton College, Chair of the Dean’s Planning Council at Fordham Law School and a board member of the DREAM Charter Schools.  He is also a board member and President Emeritus of Advocates for Children of New York.
